Introduction

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our AMT (API Gateway Management Team).

For Air France KLM IT it is important to have a flexible IT landscape that fits well with the needs of the strategic objectives. The IT organization responds to this by approaching the development of the applications from modern architectural principles, increasingly anticipating customer demand through reference architectures, and working closely together with Tibco.

What are you going to do?

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy of our API Gateway Management team and will have the opportunity to lead a team of developers, including a Service Manager, to deliver critical, world-class solutions.

The AMT team is responsible for:

  • Gateway operations (24/7)
  • Developers Support (service desk) - support manager is available.
  • Mashery Commodities maintenance (MARS, DRY, and more)
  • API Security commodities maintenance (BTEAS, DPAuth)
  • API Security track.
  • API Maturity level definition
  • API evangelism
  • ITSM/SNOW implementation
  • Migration to MS AZURE, NGDC:
  • Deliver/support Mashery transitional services, Mashery gateway to expose Azure APIs
  • App Transformation: support migrating API teams
  • SCI representative on NGDC Service Catalog
  • APIM Framework
  • Azure APIM gateway.

PO responsibilities:

  • Define the product vision and strategy for the AMT team, including OKR and Roadmap
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
  • Develop and maintain a product backlog that outlines the features, enhancements, and bug
    fixes required for the AMT team
  • Prioritize the backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, testers, and project
    managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Ensure that the delivered solutions meet the defined business requirements and quality standards
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the market trends, customer feedback, and industry best
    practices to identify new opportunities for the API Gateway Management team
  • Ensure/Organize daily stand up, weekly retros, quarterly onsite gatherings.

Where do you land?

You'll be joining the SCI team under the Organizer IT. The Service Center Integration team is an international Integration Center of Expertise consisting of the AMT team, covering a wide range of topics, and also the IoT (Internet of Things) team. This vacancy is for the Product Owner (PO) role of the AMT (API Gateway Management) Team based mainly in Amsterdam.

SCI is in the middle of Air France KLM IT, closely collaborating with mostly all other departments like, Ops teams, Security and our internal businesses are our customers. The team is a mixed Air France and KLM team divided over three locations in the Netherlands (Schiphol Rijk) and France (Valbonne and Toulouse).

The AMT team is developing and supporting comprehensive integration solutions for several of the businesses in AirFrance and KLM.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role
  • Strong understanding of API gateway technologies, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture

Preferably

2 - 4 years of experience building production-grade software

Experience working with services in the Tibco cloud, AWS and Azure.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels, leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

In addition to the above it is crucial to be a team player with an agile mindset and show commitment and ownership.

  • A gross salary between €4.843,08 and €6,918,69 per month; depending on skills and experience;
