Job Overview: We are seeking a Temporary Internal Auditor to join our team at Protiviti, a leading consultancy partner. The Temporary Internal Auditor will be assigned to work with one of Protiviti's clients, a company in the chemical industry. The role will involve conducting internal audits, evaluating the effectiveness of controls, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance within the chemical industry context.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform risk assessments to identify areas requiring audit focus within the chemical industry context.
2. Plan and execute internal audits in accordance with Protiviti's methodologies and standards, tailored to the specific needs of the chemical industry client.
3. Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to inventory, fixed assets, CapEx, and production processes within the chemical industry.
4. Analyze financial data, operational processes, and systems to identify control weaknesses and process inefficiencies within the chemical industry.
5. Document audit findings, including deficiencies and recommendations for improvement, with consideration of chemical industry regulations and best practices.
6. Communicate audit results to key stakeholders, including management and client personnel within the chemical industry.
7. Collaborate with audit teams and client personnel to develop actionable solutions to address identified issues, considering the unique challenges and requirements of the chemical industry.
8. Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective resolution, with sensitivity to the chemical industry's operational constraints.
9. Assist in the preparation of audit reports and presentations for management and clients, incorporating insights relevant to the chemical industry.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2. CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience within audit, preferably with exposure to the chemical industry or similar manufacturing environments.
4. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional languages including Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish or Chinese are a nice to have.
5. Available to start in March.
6. Willing to travel (up to 30% of the time) to production sites in Sweden, Poland, Brazil and China.
7. Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management principles, and auditing standards, with knowledge of how these apply in the chemical industry.
8. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify control deficiencies within chemical industry operations.
9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
