Protiviti, a leading consulting partner, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller (m/f/x) for one of their clients in the hospitality sector, with experience in transformation to join our team near Leiden. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to the transformation team's efforts, take the lead on prioritized pending issues in finance and accounting, and play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to drive change and improvement within finance and accounting functions and make a significant impact on our clients' financial strategy through innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Controller:

• Being Part of the Transformation Team:

• Actively contribute to the transformation team's efforts to drive change and improvement within finance and accounting functions.

• Lead Prioritized Pending Issues:

• Take the lead on ⚠ prioritized pending issues in finance and accounting, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of effective solutions.

• Ensure Accurate and Timely Financial Reporting:

• Execute precise close processes and prepare reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Utilize Tagetik Account Reconciliation & Transaction Matching for maintaining a robust balance sheet dossier.

• Drive Business Performance:

• Support business teams in monthly performance analysis and decision-making processes.

• Maintain Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Guide and coach accounting functions to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
• Establish internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and conduct assessments to ensure financial integrity and compliance.

• Data Analytics and Automation:

• Utilize digital tooling such as Tagetik to drive data analytics and automation processes.

Requirements:

• Experience in driving transformation.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller within the hospitality or similar sectors.
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards and experience with financial reporting processes.
• Familiarity with digital tooling such as Tagetik and Business Central.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing business needs. Experience or knowledge of Agile methodology is a big plus.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
