We are looking for an AM ⚠D printing specialist, with a mechanical workshop mentality that takes a pivotal role as a linking pin between the RS Staffing short time to market for production requests and the related proto challenges ahead to solve. With a focus on optimizing processes between the AM department and the mechanical shopfloor.

As a Modelshop Team Member you will be operating in a fast paced and multidisciplinary development environment. Using your Personal Skills:, you will work closely together with Factory and Development and engineering teams to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the product generation process.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (⚠ C.F.R. § ⚠, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require RS Staffing to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

You are primary responsible to ensure on time delivery with the right quality of the requested parts.

• Producing parts/proto’s/dummy’s using AM ⚠D printing, both plastics and metal.
• Check SN Team and give advice about the manufacturability.
• Research into manufacturability, quality improvement and optimization of the ⚠D printing process
• Production process mapping from printing to finished product
• Post processing of the parts with CNC machines/ conventional machines.
• Creating designs for additive manufacturing.
• Contact/meetings with customers/suppliers, projects, quotations, stock management.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and demands.
• Implementing support structures on ⚠D model software.
• Prep. and unload metal/plastic printers.
• Using hand tools for grinding, polishing, sanding and cutting parts for removal from builds.
• Equipment maintenance, materials handling and cleaning of metal printers.
• Ensure quality on output of outgoing parts from the Modelshop

Regular tune with internal/external customers about the short-term needs and priorities. Communicate this information to the other team members.

Take care of the contacts within the team as well as the team members and internal/external customers.

Able to receive feedback and find solutions to complaints from external customer.

HBO Mechanical engineering or relevant technical Education
