Weir Minerals Netherlands designs, produces and sells technologically high-quality capital goods. These products are used around the world in major industry sectors such as the mining industries. As a global market leader, we are at the forefront of making the mining industry more sustainable.

Our Project Management team is responsible for various technical projects, from the pre-sales paths to delivery at the customer. They assess risks, quality and coordinate an on time and within budget delivery. Furthermore we have Project coordination, Project Quality Engineering and Project document control within this team.

As the Head of Project Management you will not coordinate your own projects but you will be a people manager, set priorities, be the driving force behind improvement projects. You know exactly what it takes to deliver a technical project within scope and budget. You have a clear overview of ongoing projects, time schedules, payments and are able to decide when priorities need to be shifted. Furthermore you are able to drive the improvement of processes, keeping stakeholders involved and communicating clearly with the management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master degree level in mechanical or industrial engineering or technical business administration;
• You have experience as a (technical) Project Manager but also as a Change Manager preferably in heavy machinery, production, construction or similar industries. You have been the driving force behind process improvements before;
• Fluency in the Dutch and English language, verbally as well as in writing is mandatory;
• Preferably a PRINCE II certification or similar;
• We are looking for a strong personality, you make clear agreements and ensure that they are kept;
• You have a can-do mentality and are action-oriented.
