Global Product Manager - Ranpak

As a Global Product Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead innovation through the development of new machinery and optimization of the product portfolio. This is done in collaboration with regional Product Marketing Managers and the Global Marketing team. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you will implement the Ranpak strategy to achieve profitable growth and increase market share. The main objective is to position Ranpak as a market leader in the packaging industry, with a specific focus on sustainable solutions for paper packaging. You will be responsible for creating the product roadmap and coordinating the development of new product lines from the concept phase to market implementation. This includes taking into account the diverse needs and expectations of global market regions.

Position within the organizationThe Global Product Manager reports to the VP of Marketing PPS and has peers in the various regions (NOAM/APAC/EMEA) responsible for Product Marketing.The headquarter is located in Eygelshoven (South Limburg).Job content

Develop and introduce new products

  • Research Ranpak and competitor performance, customer and reseller needs, trends etc.;
  • Identify market trends, needs and segments and prepare / present business cases as input for roadmap and NPI prioritization;
  • Manage NPI (New product Innovation process (Stage / Gate innovation process) process and coordinate alpha testing. You have a close cooperation with Engineering to define specifications functionality and cost targets;
  • Enable the regional product marketing managers for product launch.

Manage existing product portfolio

  • Initiate improvements to maximize customer satisfaction;
  • Coordinate changes of existing products with sales, engineering and customers;
  • Track and analyze competitor activities and develop adequate strategies and tactics for local counter measures;
  • Provide yearly budgetary input for existing products (Capex) and new product introductions (Capex and papersales). You manage the product life cycle of conveyers.

  • Master level in marketing, business and/or engineering;
  • Proven and solid Product Management experience in global context and technical (electronic/Mechanical) products;

  • High cognitive ability;
  • Innovative attitude and active contributor in developments;
  • Proven skills as project leader;
  • Good presentation skills;
  • Pro-active and hands-on mentality;

  • Good communication skills at all levels (horizontal and vertical);
  • English proficiency (Mandarin or other Asian languages are a plus);
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

  • Gross annual salary within a range of €80.000 and €95.000;
  • 30 vacation days;
