For the IDDC Powder & Plant Based, we are looking for a Product Design & Development Manager (PDDM) for the SN portfolio. You will work in cross-functional project teams to deliver sustainable solutions mainly driven by cost efficiency & implement them within a wide range of projects, within the European supply point network. You are expected to have good communication skills to engage project team, lead & coordinate the technical implementation stream.

You should be able to dive into the technical details and propose trial planning and protocols in the most efficient, economic and sustainable way for the company, that will deliver long term solutions.

Moreover, you are expected to proactively follow relevant project governance process throughout all your projects and represent R&I in collaborative platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, C&P, Operations, Supply Points, Quality & Food Safety, etc) to deliver cost efficiency driven projects as well as generate new initiatives
• Drive and lead technical work-stream (protocols, lab & pilot trials, product specifications etc) to ensure successful implementation in multiple supply points from idea generation to launch
• Develop recipes and create product documentation for factory and market implementation, and strive for excellence in execution with first time right mindset
• Work closely together with stakeholders in Supply Points, Pilot Plants and Advanced teams on trials and alignments on the final results
• Identify and apply best product implementation practices with a business-oriented mindset focused on efficiency
• Ensure impact on consumer is assessed during all stages of the project
• Proactively challenge the status quo and drive for continuous improvement of ways of working

About you

We are looking for a Product Design & Development Manager with :

• MSc. degree in Chemical engineering, Food technology or similar working/thinking level obtained via experience
• Minimum 2-year experience in R&D related environment or factory technology job/ environment or business-related role in the food industry
• Able to communicate effectively within various functions and levels (operator to director) within R&D, Operations, C&P, and Quality
• Team player with an autonomous and independent working attitude
• Can deal with changing priorities, manage uncertainty and deal with complexity in a dynamic organization
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, solution oriented, open-minded, fast learner and with a hands-on approach.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written

• Pro-active & positive personality, with ability to engage others in a complex multi-disciplinary setting with a can-do attitude

• Good communication skills, understanding group dynamics and ability to convince

• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment where priorities shift fast.
