Facilities Engineer

Are you a thorough and self organising Facilities Engineer with a proven GMP track record? For our Facilities & Services team we are looking for a Facilities Engineer. In this role you are collaborating in a small team to troubleshoot and improve the technical installation and execute qualification of systems and process equipment.


What you will do

  • Identify, analyse, trend and then fix problems of a GMP process technical nature, in facilities and equipment.
  • Develop, optimise and improve current and new technical processes (GMP Change Control) on behalf of process owners.
  • Develop and implement an asset management strategy including financial forecast
  • Develop, write and implement calibration, maintenance and engineering records in our QMS quality system.
  • Execute (re)validation activities (URS, RA, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) of equipment, utilities or facilities.
  • Providing the management team with clear insights on facilities and equipment status reports.
  • Ensure permanent inspection readiness for GMP facilities, equipment and utilities across all Necstgen assets.

What we ask

We are looking for a Facilities Engineer that has a strong technical background with experience in GMP facilities and is willing to learn.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemical, Biotechnology or equivalent
  • Proven working experience in a facilities engineering role of at least 10+ years
  • Proven working experience in a GMP life sciences role of at least 2+ years
  • Formal education in Asset Management is a plus
  • Proven working experience with CMMS systems is a plus
  • Thorough: ability to carry out tasks with an eye for accuracy and completeness
  • Self-organised: ability to focus and to plan accordingly and independently
  • Co-operative: ability to work within a team and with other teams to drive projects forward according to agreed time lines
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
