ISUtrecht offers the International Baccalaureate curriculum for students from 4-19 from diverse international backgrounds. Vacancy
The International School Utrecht is looking to recruit an enthusiastic International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme Teacher Librarian. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a library environment, with knowledge of the IB PYP curriculum.

Qualifications and experience:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, teaching qualification (DUO recognised)
  • Experience working as a librarian in an IB school or a similar educational setting
  • Knowledge of the IB curriculum and the ability to align library resources and services with its requirements
  • Experience in working with the Approaches to Learning (ATL’s)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and students
  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources for libraries
  • Commitment to promoting reading, literacy and information literacy among students
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Key Responsibilities within the role:
  • Collaborate with PYP teachers and coordinators to align the library's resources and services with the PYP curriculum
  • Support managing the library's collection of books, digital resources, and other materials
  • Plan and deliver library lessons and activities that promote reading, ATL skills, and information literacy
  • Provide assistance and support to students and teachers in using library resources and technology
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive library environment that encourages student engagement and participation
  • Collaborate and co-design unit and lesson plans with classroom teachers and specialists
  • Collaborate with other librarians from the DIPS and participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices and trends in library services
