Senior GNSS Engineer - Space Unit

Functiebeschrijving:

Your role in our team
At CGI Space in the Netherlands, we're developing cutting-edge GNSS technology, and we're on the lookout for a highly motivated senior engineer to join our team. Snapshot-based receivers represent a new concept in terms of receiver technology and our snapshot receiver utilizes Galileo’s Public Regulated Service (PRS), providing authenticated position and time solutions.
Next to this, CGI Netherlands is investigating the development of a state-of-the-art real-time GNSS receiver capable of providing accurate and reliable PVT solutions. Your responsibilities will include the participation in design, development and testing phases of this project.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in the continuous advancement of our GNSS (snapshot) receiver. Your contributions will shape the future of GNSS downstream applications and their impact. Your enthusiasm and expertise will be valued as we explore new horizons in this dynamic field.

How you strengthen our team
Your interest in technology, coupled with your willingness to explore beyond your expertise, is highly valued. We're looking for candidates like you with the following skills and competencies:
• A Master's degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, Geodetic, Aerospace, or related engineering fields,
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience or a PhD in a related field, including direct experience on GNSS,
• A background and solid experience with the design, implementation, and testing in multiple of the following fields:
o Global Navigation Satellite Systems (e.g. Galileo), their signals and receiver technologies,
o Design of algorithms to acquire and track the modern signal structures used in Galileo (e.g., Binary Offset Carrier),
o Error sources affecting GNSS and their associated models (e.g., ionosphere or multipath models),
o Algorithms for the combination of observations (e.g., ionosphere-free and code-minus-phase combinations),
o Integrity monitoring algorithms such as ARAIM,
o Precise GNSS products (e.g., precise ephemerides and clock data),
o High accuracy positioning and timing techniques such as Precise Point Positioning and/or Real Time Kinematics,
o Evaluation of GNSS performance and related statistics and algorithms,
• The ability to communicate and explain complex concepts clearly to colleagues and clients,
• The following skills and competencies are considered to be assets:
o Experience with message and ranging authentication techniques such as OSNMA, CAS and PRS,
o Proficiency in software engineering aspects, including requirement definition, architectural design, implementation, and testing,
o Familiarity with object-oriented programming in C or C++,
o Experience with Agile and/or SAFe.
• Please note that holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance, which is a part of our selection process.
Your contributions will be instrumental in strengthening our team and advancing our GNSS technology initiatives.
