Team Lead Planning - Global Engineering

Job Description

You can make your mark as the Team lead Planning to significantly contribute to the project and tender support department within the Offshore Energy division. Your goal is to achieve a high level of added value for all projects and tender scheduling works and the team members performing the works. You will report to the Manager Project and tender support. You will ensure that the planning team, consisting of around 12 team members, working in different locations in the world, has all the necessary support and means to successfully support the project and tender organization and fulfill the organizations goals.

Your responsibilities as team lead planning are:

  1. Serving as the primary point of contact for all offshore energy business units, requiring planning support.
  2. Leading the team and organization to implement and maintain the planning management procedures, requirements, and industry standards.
  3. Overseeing the day-to-day planning, coordination of the planning team, ensuring the right level of quality, speed, and workload, facilitating a good team spirit.
  4. Actively reporting on the progress, issues, and results of the work within the Offshore Energy Project and Tender Support Department.
  5. Having a clear vision of effective planning management proactively identifying areas for improvement within the division and your team.
  6. Understanding the interfaces of schedule management with other project control disciplines, taking the initiative to address and enhance these interfaces.
  7. Providing guidance and coaching to the team, supporting their personal and professional development, including performance management and yearly appraisals.

You can make your mark as a lead planner when you have:

  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably as a lead or Senior Planner, in which you demonstrably been able to motivate, coach, and guide team members.
  • Profound knowledge of Primavera and other related systems.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications such as SharePoint, Power-BI, Power-apps, etc.
  • Capacity to make decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment, and be accountable for actions and results.
  • Strong communication and representation skills across all levels to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • High interest in industry developments in project management, software and techniques, and the future of AI in the planning profession.

Extra Information

Your team: You will manage a team of +- 12 colleagues. You will report to the Manager Project and tender support, and you are part of the core leads team together with risk and systems engineering and document control.

Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.

Full/part-time job: The position of Lead Planning is a full-time (40 hours a week) job.
