The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for an enthusiastic HR Manager to join our team in the Netherlands! Are you a dynamic HR professional with a big heart for people, wanting to join an innovative, international company? This is the role for you!

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Avantor organisation and play a key role as the Lead HR Manager for our Netherlands business on an interim basis until the end of 2024.

We are seeking a senior HR professional who is deeply experienced in all aspects of general HR matters, this role sits on the NL management team and provides both strategic and operational HR support for all 300+ employees located across 5 business sites .

This role will be part of a strong team consisting of a HR Business Partner , H R Administrator and HR payroll specialist.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in Human Resources either at HR Manager or HR business Partner level

  • A HR professional which takes ownership of support their client group and partners with the business to enable and support the business to deliver results.

  • A positive individual who has a “can do” attitude.

  • Value the important of data, and then able to analyse the data and identify the insights to potential areas for improvement.

  • Team Player

  • Very good Communication skills, both spoken and written in Dutch and English

  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation would be an advantage but not essential.

  • Ability to present to groups across all areas of the organisation, including Senior Management

  • Sound knowledge of N etherlands Employment Law

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Proactively support the deliver all the HR Processes associated with the employee life cycle

  • Build strong relationships with internal clients

  • Build strong relationship with the Netherlands HR team, wider HR tea m within Europe and the with HR COE (HRIS, Talent, Learning and Development etc)

  • Supports and partner with People Manager s to lead Avantor associates in line with the Avantor ICARE values and help People Managers to lead Avantor associate in line with HR best practise.

  • Good business acumen to understand what element of the people agenda will add the most value to the client base this role supports.

  • Style of working in collaboration with others, with respect and including to build consensus and positive team spirit.
