D&VDV Services is a vertically integrated energy company aiming to be carbon neutral in ⚠. We invest heavily in renewable energy, heat, and flexible assets such as batteries and sell this energy to our customers. D&VDV Services (R&V Staffing) is at the heart of D&VDV Services, managing all commodity positions of D&VDV Services. The Data Solution Architect will be part of the Operations & IT department within R&V Staffing and directly report to the Head of Data & AI. This role will be associated with the Business Change Management (BCM) process at R&V Staffing in close cooperation with R&V Staffing business teams to gather the business requirements and assist R&V Staffing IT teams in translating those business requirements into data architecture, models, and pipelines while following the data governance and policies advocated by the central IT departments at D&VDV Services.

As an integral part of our team, you will work closely with business stakeholders to comprehend their specific data needs and transform those requirements into reliable and scalable data solutions. You will be responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from designing and modeling data structures to developing advanced data integration strategies.

In this role, you will use your knowledge of database design, data modeling, and integration technologies to create solutions that improve performance, enhance data security, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for assessing emerging data technologies, making strategic suggestions for adoption, and promoting best practices in data governance. Your impact will go beyond technical aspects as you explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, encouraging cooperation and alignment between business goals and technology solutions.

• Masters degree in a STEM related field (such as computer science, information technology, data science, etc.)
• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a similar role in a similar (enterprise) business environment (preferably energy markets).
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud solutions and services. Knowledge of AWS and GCP is a pre.
• A solid understanding of data warehousing (such as Snowflake), DBT, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Good familiarity with different data platforms and technologies such as relational or NoSQL databases, data storage solutions such as blob, and data streaming solutions such as Kafka, etc.
• A good knowledge of data modeling and governance principles as per DAMA-DMBOK or similar. Familiarity with Data Mesh and Collibra is a pre.
