Measurement Technician High Voltage Lab (Kema B.V.)

About Measurement Technician:

As a Measurement Technician in the High Voltage Lab (HVL), you're going to perform tests on high voltage equipment. You will do this together with the Test Engineer and your colleagues, both on location at KEMA and at the location from the customer (Arnhem or abroad). Before working on location by the customer (field service), you will learn and get experience in our own lab. Besides supporting with testing, you will be actively involved in the maintenance of measuring equipment and measurement setups.

Operational work:

  1. Preparation and set-up of planned test and measurement equipment.
  2. If necessary, prepare test objects.
  3. If necessary, arrange or make tools.
  4. Check installations for proper operation and safety.

Executive tasks:

  1. Perform tests under the supervision of the test leader.
  2. Following safety procedure according to High Voltage Safety Procedure.
  3. Operation of installations and equipment.
  4. Correct use of measurement results.
  5. Apply instructions and regulations.

Finalizing work activities:

  1. Removing the tested objects from the testing area, cleaning up the devices used in the testing and returning the testing area clean again.
  2. Transportation of test objects.

Maintenance work:

  1. Perform preventive and curative maintenance.
  2. Keep assigned areas operational and clean.
  3. Improving/modifying test setups/Installations.
  4. Proposing improvements from installation and equipment.

What you bring

You have a level 4 MBO (secondary vocational education) preferably in electrical engineering. Experience in a similar position has our preference. Our international customers are often present during the execution of the test, so knowledge of Dutch and English is required. Furthermore, you have good communication and teamwork skills and can work independently.
