Apleona is hiring a:

Country manager (40 hrs/week) for NL (1 FTE)

Apleona specializes in Integrated Facility Management, taking over the entire management of business premises and buildings for our clients. This includes, for example, the maintenance of buildings and building-related installations, cleaning, catering, or security.

This specific client, active in the Parcel, Mail & Logistics industry, is part of our Global Accounts Programme. As the new Country Manager, you will direct and oversee the facility maintenance with a global logistics client and manage the full-service delivery.

The outlines of your position

You will oversee the performance in the areas of operations and maintenance of all facility equipment and soft services as well as providing operational steering for all aspects within the account, by achieving goals and objectives centred on Operational Excellence, Account business growth and meeting financial performance.

Furthermore, you are expected to reduce business interruptions and increase overall account performance through the promotion and utilization of best practices and processes that enable operational excellence. Due to the high volume of additional (and complex) projects; you will also head-up the local project team supported by the Apleona Project Team.

Our client has multiple sites spread-out over the BENELUX region; you will be responsible for the client locations in the IFM portfolio for the NL. Each site has local resources responsible for the day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for the nationwide service delivery by the local teams and function as the interface between the country teams and the wider Apleona support departments like HR, Procurement, and Finance etc.

You report directly to the BeNeLux Operational Director as well as a dotted line to the international KAM (Key Account Management) team.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities included, but are not limited to:

  • Inspire a strong culture of” Safety First” and seek to exceed safety initiatives to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Set priorities and performance expectations for the account in conjunction with the Regional Director as well the priorities and performance expectations for the country.
  • Address, resolve and sponsor critical account and client relations issues. Builds a strong relationship with local customers/clients.
  • Close supervising and supporting the subordinate managers.
  • Drive operational excellence (Continuity/Compliance) within the account.
  • Monitor short- and long-range Operations Plans and budgets.
  • Drive achievement of glide path targets with no delivery disruptions.
  • Leverage the functional areas and subject matter experts, including Engineering, Critical Environments, Health, Safety & Environmental, Energy Services and Real Estate to drive best practices and processes within the accounts.
  • Review site leader staffing levels, staff performance, succession planning, training, and recruitment to ensure that Apleona attracts and retains the best local talent.
  • Control and modify the services deliverables in accordance with changes in client’s business needs.
  • Monitors account performance against client contract KPIs or SLAs. Take corrective action with site leadership when results fall below established targets.
  • Participate in customer meetings as required working with account management; support QBR and MBR reporting requirements.
  • Actively share and implement best business practices and other operating innovation throughout Apleona.
  • Participate in account communication requirements and associated activities to drive employee engagement improvement in the account.
  • Other duties as they may be assigned.

Yet, we do require certain fundamental experience and/or competences, acquired either through education or operational experience. The fundamentals are:

  • Combination of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, real estate and/or operational experience in facilities management.
  • Minimum 10 years of operations experience in developing and delivering complex. property/facilities management outsourced solutions to multi-national corporate clients.
  • A person who motivates teams to effectively deliver operational targets.
  • Enthusiastic and confident professional with excellent ability to set deliverables, lead people through influence, demonstrate organizational and leadership skills.
  • Evidence of successfully leading from the front.
  • Able to solve advanced problems and effectively deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
  • Highly client focused, with good Customer Relationship Management experience.
  • Skilled communicator in larger groups and one-on-one.
  • Commercially driven and proven track record.
  • Strong financial skills.
  • Dutch and English language skills essential.

  • An attractive monthly wage between €4919,- and €7027,- gross a month, based on 40 hours per week, in accordance with relevant experience and added value.
