Security Architect

What's your job?As Security Architect, you will be responsible for addressing TSN’s information security requirements and objectives, by advocating the appropriate cybersecurity technical solutions, while ensuring that the security architectures and practices do not impede the needs of the business. A key element of your role will be to provide strategic security-planning advice to IT development teams. In addition, it will also be your task to investigate new opportunities, conduct proof of concepts, convince stakeholders, and to define and maintain the required security standards. You will work on a wide range of activities, collaborating with both internal IT/OT teams and external IT service providers and technology vendors. In particular, you will work collaboratively with the TSN IT Information Security team, who are the owner of the TSN information security policy framework, responsible for its management and maintenance, and for ensuring compliance company-wide. As a member of the EA&I team, you will report directly into the Head of Business Architecture, but you will also serve as will serve as a the sounding board for the TSN CISO. In your role you will provide clear direction to both EA&I team and our IT partners, to ensure that our application, information assets, and technology designs align to the security strategy. You will be expected to evaluate new services, vendors, applications and security tools, and changes to the IT infrastructure, from a technical perspective, and to translate the risk characteristics of these activities and functions into enterprise risk terms that the CISO can communicate to non-IT colleagues in the wider TSN organisation. A key part of the role therefore is the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.This is a highly dynamic and challenging role, which requires a unique blend of expert technical knowledge and experience, combined with and stakeholder management capability.Is this you?
  • A master’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersercurity or a related field;
  • You will have working knowledge and experience of the SAFe Framework and TOGAF framework and direct, hands-on experience managing security infrastructure such as firewalls, IPSs, WAFs, endpoint protection, SIEM and log management technology;
  • Strong working knowledge of IT service management and the ITIL framework;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • You already have permanent residence in the Netherlands, relocation is not possible for this position;

What's your department? Team The role of Security Architect sits within Enterprise Architecture & Innovation (EA&I) department of the Tata Steel Nederland IT function (TSN IT).
