The Marine & Ports division is part of the Process Automation business Area. Marine & Ports offers a complete package of electrical and digital solutions for the maritime world. Our systems are based on ABB's leading technology in the field of energy technology, drives and automation and have proven for decades that they meet the high requirements of marine and offshore applications. In this position, you will hold a pivotal role within the procurement and logistics as a Sourcing Manager for Decarbonization solutions. Your primary responsibility will be the evaluation and development of the supplier portfolio of these product groups, which include power conversion systems, e-houses, cable management systems, digital and automation products. Furthermore, you will be part of the bidding team and lead the contract negotiations with key suppliers in tender and execution phase. On a day-to-day basis, you will serve as the initial point of contact for selected vendors pertaining to these solutions. Leveraging your supply chain expertise, you will work in a close collaboration with our product management, R&D, and sales support team in global marine and ports business environment. You will focus on Central European markets.

• Ensuring cost optimization.
• Execution of professional supplier management (search, selection, classification, further development, implementation and risk assessment).
• Proactive market monitoring and analysis.
• Interface with R&D, product management and sales to evaluate new technologies and/or products.
• Leading complex contract negotiations as well as professional contract management with internal and external vendors.

• Completed technical education (e.g. industrial or electrical engineering) or having relevant work experience in a technical environment.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of international global sourcing.
• Market knowledge and experience in the marine and ports preferred.
• Confident handling of MS-Office applications, experience with SAP module MM an advantage.
• Diplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiation skills.
• Enjoyment of a varied job with a high degree of personal responsibility and hands-on mentality.
• You have an analytical mindset and ability to make informed decisions regarding technical solutions.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken are a requirement.
• Willingness to travel.
• Familiar with marine classification rules would be an additional advantage.
