HR Business Architect


Introduction

The HR Business Architect is a challenging position in a dynamic and international environment. It is a newly created position that brings together processes, data and systems within the HR domain.

Job Mission

The HR Business Architect is responsible for translating business objectives and requirements into architecture capability designs, structures, processes and policies. The architect translates and aligns business goals, plans and processes with other architects and IT counterparts among others.

The Business Architect actively facilitates collaboration and integration across ASML, and pursues connections beyond organizational boundaries to find the optimal solutions to achieve the company’s strategic goals. They will identify the gaps in our current capability landscape that prevent us from achieving our strategic goals, and make sure we do the right things to realize our People Strategy.

Job Description

  • Manage and align, with stakeholders within and outside HR, strategic capability improvement roadmaps on people topics.

  • Facilitate and coordinate with HR Strategy Office, HR Expertise teams and IT in order to prioritize transformational initiatives and secure acceptance within a roadmap that will close the key capability gaps

  • Lead the formation of architectural guidance on how to improve on the gaps within our business capabilities, including on process design with roles and organizational impact, applications and interfaces, and data and information to support the capability

  • Ensure all capability improvement solutions within the HR sectors or impacting the HR sector are designed in line with the architectural guidance

  • Guide new initiatives from initiation up to start of execution, ensuring all impacted parties are involved in the solution direction. Specifically, ensure the dimensions of process, data and systems are well aligned and consistent, guiding and aligning Process owners (in HR, ABS, BPI and other Departments) and Product Owners.

  • Bring an outside-in perspective on external trends and technologies and translate into practical opportunities of deployment at ASML, and align across sectors on use cases for which proofs of concepts can be initiated

  • Align with IT and Enterprise Architects on overarching initiatives impacting the total capability and system landscape

  • Collaborate to build the ASML-wide enterprise architecture team which has a mandate for enabling the cycle of strategic improvement initiatives in support of Enterprise Management Solutions and ASML Strategy

Education

  • Academic degree in Business Economics or related Education.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the area of process management/improvement and/or technology management

  • Experience in a multinational environment

  • Experience in the areas of HR

  • Big-4 Consultancy Experience for multiple clients and industries

Context of the position

This newly created position sits within the HR Technology and Innovation team, where data, processes and systems usually come together. On a structural basis, the incumbent will work closely with the SBPO for HR and the HR portfolio Manager, as well as all Expertise teams within HR (Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, People Analytics, Learning & Knowledge Management), ABS and IT Architect(s).
