Manager Finance (Business Controller)

For our international client (real estate industry) we are looking for a Manager Finance(Business Controller) (m/v/x).

As a Manager, Finance (Business Controller) you will perform financial- and operational reviews, analyses, follow-up on performance, take part in the reporting to management. In this role you are expected to work independently as well as being part of a team, including taking lead on projects in which you are accountable for the deliverables. In addition to this you will work continuously to optimize and identify improvements in the current processes as well as being a business partner throughout the organisation.

This role will include

  • Performing review and analyses process to support month-end closing and reporting
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis, various financial tasks within the finance function
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting
  • Participate in financial planning (annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting)
  • Participate in (internal) audit and compliance processes
  • Supporting business and participate in (ad-hoc) projects like insourcing and (financial) system implementations
  • Participate in improvement initiatives, design and implement standardized, efficient and compliant reporting and controls; further optimize planning, forecasting, operational finance
  • Provide operational support to teams with investment decisions; be involved in due diligence processes

We are looking for an experienced international finance professional in accounting and controlling. You are strategic-thinking, results driven, with the ability to hands on and dig into details while not losing sight of the big picture. You should be analytical with a good eye for details as well as having a curious, ambitious approach with the ability to perform in a fast environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. You have extensive experience with systems and processes in accounting operations within growth organizations. You are an effective communicator who can work with cross-functional and executive teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics / Business Administration / Finance & Control or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years' of relevant working experience in accounting and finance & control preferably in an international real estate environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reviewing and analysing both profit & loss and balance sheet
  • Experience of budgeting/forecasting/long term financial planning
  • Experience in business analysis, modelling, and accounting
  • High level of knowledge and skills in Excel
  • Good knowledge of local GAAP and/or IFRS; be well versed in local tax regulations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, responsible, meticulous, good team player and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant experience in real estate industry is an added advantage
  • Professional fluency in English, written and verbal. To be able to communicate well in English to liaise with Headquarters in Singapore
