The role

As a Product Owner you are one of the crucial factors in the Responsible Investments Domain to deliver Business Value together with the Devops team and are responsible for ‘Use Cases’ which aims to deliver Responsible investment solutions to our business and clients. This will be conducted in close cooperation with the Manager who sets the Product Vision & Strategy and Product Owners within the Responsible Investment Domain, whilst liaising with teams from other Value Streams on core data domains amongst others.

What you would do

As a Product Owner you have overall end-to-end ownership of product strategy, product design, product development, launch and product lifecycle management. You are also responsible for the feature designs, roadmap definition and stakeholder management. You have a clear ambition to strive for delivering the solution within time, scope and together with the team.

Within the APG AM organization our ESG strategy is high on the priority list for both APG AM and the clients, hence there is strong leadership required and excellent stakeholder engagement and tested skills in expectations management.

What you bring

• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology or equivalent
• have 5 - 10 years of experience in product strategy, development and software management in an agile way of working and leading a development team
• Knowledge and affiliation with Data Engineering, Data Architecture and Azure Data Platform
• Broad in-depth knowledge of financial instruments and ESG data domains relevant for Asset Management
• have a broad knowledge of investment platforms
• Strong analytical skills in combination with excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
• be empathic with cross culture aspects of working in international and inclusive teams;
• have excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing
• you are resilient, have an innovative mindset, and good people management skills

In addition you:

• have experience in the workings of an asset manager and its clients, and you understand and recognize the major stakeholders in AM processes;
• have a profound knowledge of COO and front to back processes;
• are experienced in a changing organization within a corporate environment;
• you are entrepreneurial and enjoy a challenge
• have a high degree of persuasion and you also encourage others to apply new information and ideas effectively;
• know how to achieve the agreed results in an efficient way;
• know how to connect within the organization and come up with good solutions for APG AM.

Your work location will be Amsterdam with occasionally visits to our Heerlen office.
