After completing the training offered, the Overhead Line Technician (BVL) is able to work independently on overhead lines. The focus is on carrying out practice-oriented tasks under the supervision of a team leader, with a specialization in working with 1500 V overhead lines. Tasks and responsibilities: • Attaching the coupling switch to the beam and switch cable • Placing dimensions with regard to height dimensions, voltage earth and hazard marking • Mounting the straightening construction, rotating arm, end clamp, tension clamp 240 mm2, welding clamp 240 mm2, spacer spirals 2xVL Y-wires, line interrupter • Laying out hanging wire, regulating contact wire, making shifts • Installing contact wire crossings at switches • Adjusting weights to height • Exchange crosswise • Construction of open and closed tensioning devices • Installing viaduct systems, including pipe suspension, tram suspension, and runners
