Food & Beverage Management Internship - Hilton Amsterdam

Context of placementAs an all-round F&B Management trainee you will be actively working in all F&B departments of Hilton Amsterdam, this includes the restaurant Roberto's, Half Moon Lounge bar, Room Service and occasional support in Banqueting. In order to develop your skills you will be involved in operational and non-operational aspects of the job.(Dutch language skills are not mandatory)Main TasksYou will be responsible for supporting the F&B Management with running a smooth operation and providing a consistent high level of service to our guests and colleagues. You ensure that nothing is lacking for the guests and if necessary, you will be handling questions and complains from guests.Managerial responsibilitiesOne of the F&B management responsibilities is to constantly look into ways to improve the guest satisfaction; your input is highly considered and valued. For this you analyse guest satisfaction together with the F&B management and implement a plan of action to improve the results of it.Furthermore, you may also put your planning and organizing skills to the test. Besides that, you will contribute to marketing activities by creating and executing social media plans, for example assisting with sharing new dishes, beverages or festivities with our social media and network.To develop management skills you are allowed to initiate briefings and guide your team of the specific department.Together with departmental managers you will maintain and keep track of stock within the department. This means you will handle Birchstreet to develop your inventarisation skills on a management level.You will be actively involved in the menu engineering process which means analysing the best selling dishes/beverages and adjusting to the latest trends in terms of pricing and menu design.
