Position: Senior Engineering Manager

Location: Groningen, Netherlands

Job Type: Freelance or Permanent

Salary: €200-250k

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled engineering manager to join our clients team in Groningen to work on their large green hydrogen projects. As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering team, ensuring the successful execution of all projects related to green hydrogen production.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive successful project delivery
• Recruit and hire for ZZP & external personnel
• Develop and implement engineering strategies and plans to meet project objectives and goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in green hydrogen production processes
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation plans
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering issues
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
• Experience hiring and managing ZZP & External consultants
• Strong technical expertise in green hydrogen production processes and technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams
• Experience in project management and budgeting
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to green hydrogen production or a similar industry - Renewables, Chemical etc.
