ERP Solution Architect

What you'll be doing The Solution Architect proactively leads activities to deliver sustainable solutions in his or her domain and shapes Marel IT solutions to match targeted business and IT outcomes. He or she sees opportunities and constraints across a global organization and broader system landscape. The Solution Architect manages the portfolio of "as is" and "to be" solutions in the domain (can include applications, information and/or technolo-gy/infrastructure components). He or she explores and advises on technology improvements or innovations and drives clean up of technical debt. The Solution Architect is a key member of project or (agile) “product” teams and is responsible for mapping business needs and IT requirements to forthcoming solutions. The Solu-tion Architect works along with other team members, the Enterprise Architect, other solution architects and guides projects and solution designs to completion. Main Tasks Understands and advocates the IT and architecture principles, policies and guidelines; defines solution patterns and guidelines to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's or domain architecture vision; Partners with domain architect(s) and enterprise architect to develop technology roadmaps. Consults with application and infrastructure colleagues to align on solution directions and identify requirements that affect adjacent domains in applications, infrastructure, or security. Manages and develops the architecture for a broader scope of projects. Designs the implementation of a solution architecture. Provides consulting support to IT specialists and other team members within projects to ensure the deliverables are aligned with the agreed solution direction. Understands technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new ways of working. Monitors the current-state solution to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements. Creates and maintains the (technology) platform roadmaps and aligns with vendor roadmaps. Who are we looking for? The ERP Solution Architect understands IT and architecture principles. You are experienced in stakeholder management and get energy from guiding and coaching colleagues into the principles of

project management and

ERP development. You’re creative, analytical, result driven, persistent, persuasive, focused on delivering and operational excellence, able to communicate with senior mgt. You as the ERP Solution Architect are: ERP (SAP) Senior level, 5-10 years of experience with ERP systems that include SAP functional and/or technical modules with minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the SAP architecture role. S/4HANA exposure (role outs/green fields/brown fields/etc.) Well experienced within the ERP equipment manufacturing domain, supply chain oriented Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, (software) engineering or equivalent Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role Strong background in enterprise & technical architecture design Good knowledge of the organization, processes and IT Good knowledge of the methods and techniques for the development of architecture principles in modeling of processes, information and IT systems Understanding of Scrum or Agile development and Devops team initiatives Strong English skills, both written and verbal Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage What kind of a person are you?
