What are your responsibilities:

CB is a bachelor program offered by the HU. The HU marketing team invests in promotional and recruitment campaigns for all its bachelors at HU-brand level. We need to build a parallel communication that is CB-specific.

Your mission will be to complement their activities with a solid CB-centric social media strategy that best represents our CB brand and its offering, and make it visible to the relevant student audiences by: Setting measurable marketing objectives to support your strategy. Crafting and producing the right content, with the right tone of voice on the relevant social platform, to cover all our academic events and celebrate our student community. Conducting analytics to understand and improve performance (throughout the acquisition funnel) across channels and events. Defining a media budget to boost your activities.

Additionally (for 0.2 fte out of the 0.6 fte) you will be involved in other event and administration-related activities that support the efficient and effective functioning of the programme. In this role, you will be in charge of the information channels to communicate with our students, from prospectives till alumni. This includes: Information for students, literature list, announcements in MYHU and email; Help setting up/reviewing documents like the study guide; Assigning and informing visiting-, exemption-, new students to their classes; Arranging assessment reviews.

What we offer: Our CB program has doubled in numbers during the last four years and is still expanding. Since this is one of three English taught programs at the HU, this is an unique place to work. Besides this, we offer good terms of employment to come and work at the HU: Initially, you will receive an annual contract (D4) with a size of 0,6. After this, there is the possibility of a renewed employment contract. Internal applicants will retain their current contract form; Depending on your knowledge and skills, your responsibilities and tasks will be determined. Based on this, grading takes place in scale 08, with a maximum salary of € 4085.57 for a full-time appointment. On top of that, you will receive a holiday allowance of 8% and a guaranteed end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. A contribution to the personal contribution of the health insurance of € 300.00 gross per year and an internet reimbursement of € 37.50 net for a full-time appointment. An NS Business Card for all your public transport journeys (for work as well as private journeys) are free of charge. Do you prefer to come by car or bicycle? Then you will receive an excellent mileage allowance. We offer you excellent study and development opportunities through our own HU Development Portal, aimed at development as a researcher and as a teacher; In the case of full-time employment, there is the possibility of up to 428 hours of leave per year and 45 hours of sustainable employability.

Of course, we will also lend you a laptop and a smartphone to be able to work location-free and we also offer you the opportunity to make use of fun extras such as our bicycle plan, discounts on insurance, software and fitness. Together with the social partners, we strive for agreements that really work and are based on good employment practices and good employment practices

More specifically, this will mean that a successful candidate has experience with one or more of the following: A bachelor's degree in Creative Business or Marketing and Advertising; Several years of social media brand management experience; Several years with social media marketing and content creation; SEO optimisation; Analytics; Social listening/monitoring.

Consumer (student) behaviour and insights (predominantly Gen Z), in various markets; Graphic design, video editing and copywriting skills; Experience with working in a fast–paced, deadline–driven environment and managing competing priorities; Excellent English proficiency (Dutch is a plus); Work experience in the field of (international) higher education is a plus.
