Shiftleader/Supervisor

Logistics at full potential Working as a Supervisor/Shift Leader at GXO Logistics in Oss, Netherlands, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the department, with particular emphasis on managing warehouse associates. You will establish and maintain procedures for meeting company and customer commitments, train, motivate, and lead within your area of responsibility, facilitate conflict resolution, and enforce company policies and procedures. What will you do on a typical day Ensures daily/ shift distribution and light manufacturing activities are executed and accountable for performance shortfalls – develop corrective action plans when performance falls below target Manages performance continually; develops associates by providing training and coaching Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws Assigns duties and monitors work completion for accuracy Maintains a safe work environment and fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required Responsible for achieving customer metrics (quality and responsiveness) Implement and coach Lean Warehousing System and processes Lead (daily) start-up activities with cross functional teams Daily interaction with internal and external customer is required Monitor and adjust personnel scheduling to support all shifts and accounts, plan and organize staff workload Maintain daily- and week reports, documentation of processes that are followed by the department Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water, and fuel consumption What you need to succeed at GXO Bachelor’s degree, e.g. in logistics, engineering, operations management, supply chain management, business administration or equivalent experience At least 2 years of Operations experience in a similar role Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English, Dutch is a big plus What we offer you A dynamic organization, where space for personal input and development are key The direction of your own success and the necessary support in your development A job with a lot of responsibility, where no day is the same A pleasant working atmosphere with nice colleagues GXO University Your work environment Working at GXO Logistics means working in a dynamic and international organization.
