Senior Jira Align Coach


Introduction

At ASML Program Management Office we raise the level of program management within ASML. The Planning Framework is an important part of that, where Jira Align is a crucial part of the framework and growing in adaptation. Your focus will be on the program, product and train roadmaps in Jira Align, where you will have the challenge to support its growth. For this position we are looking for somebody who has next to Jira Align application knowledge also experience managing multiple project/ workstreams at the same time. Job Description

Within ASML the Program Management Office (PMO) is the recognized expert, that drives World-Class Program- and Project Management. You will be part of the PMO Means & Methods (M&M) organization and in the Scope & Scheduling team with Planning Experts.

As a Senior Planning Expert you are pro-actively coaching plan owners (Product Development Manager, Project Leads, Chief Product Owners / Release Train Engineers, Product Owners / Scrum Masters) in creating and enhancing their plans. These plans are related to New Product Introduction (NPI) in the Business Lines and in Development & Engineering. You advise and coach how to best use the standard ASML planning applications, with a dedicated focus for Jira Align since this will be embedded in ASML. For this Senior position, you will be managing multiple projects and improvements. Projects are different in timelines, impact, resources, complexity. Next to that, projects typically involve stakeholders and Departments across the whole sector, which requires understanding of the business and influences of the sector.

The applicable project methodology is the ASML Development Model (ADM). This is the ASML operating model combining high level traditional Project Management with an Agile way of working in Trains and Teams.

You will drive continuous improvement of the way of working, based on market trends and internal developments. One way to do this, is by the embedding and adoption of the PMO Scheduling Competence by alignment through various organizational levels. You also provide or refresh training to employees that pick-up a new role that is related to planning.

Education

Minimal level of Bachelors degree, preferably in the area of Business Administration.

Experience

  • Experience in a large scale Agile environment (SAFe);

  • Experience with planning applications/tools: e.g. Microsoft Project Online, Jira, Jira Align. Jira Align experience is a necessary skill;

  • Experience with implementation of change and improvement projects or ability to do so;

  • You have substantial and thorough experience in stakeholder management and project management in technical industrial environments;

  • Have expert process and organizational knowledge to make (process) decisions on critical moments in the project;

  • Having ASML business knowledge of the Product Generation Process (PGP) and a general understanding of the product portfolio (EUV/DUV/Apps) is a pre.

  • Excellent communicator. Being able to influence without hierarchical power, and creative in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders;

  • Ability to guide, coach and advise at all organizational levels to effect sustainable change and improving the process maturity level of the organization;

  • Ability to explain new way of working to a group of people;

  • Analytical skills;

  • Team player. Enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently;

  • Project Management, Agile/SAFe expertise;

  • Affinity with the functional part of IT.
