MES Engineer

About the job: The MES Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining MES solutions within our manufacturing environments. Key tasks for our weighing department MES application include configuring workflows, troubleshooting application issues, documentation and ensuring seamless integration between MES, SAP and other systems. You get energy from working in a cross-functional team. Containing people from Danone Global, Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, IT, Production, Logistics, Engineering, and external parties such as system integrators. You implement solutions, from small shop floor requests for data access to major system migrations, in a sustainable and well documented way. In this position within Nutricia’s Supply Point you will be responsible for: being the expert and go-to person on our weighing department MES system and its OT/IT infrastructure documentation and validation of hardware, dataflow and application architecture leading application issue troubleshooting and modification. Individually and/or with team partners integration between MES (AVEVA), SAP, Tekdan and our weighing systems (Siemens PLC’s) training key users, production and maintenance operating / troubleshooting the weighing department MES road mapping of hardware and application enhancements / upgrades being first point of contact of our service level agreement partners ensuring adherence to both internal and external quality, safety, and process standards About you

We are looking for a passionate candidate who loves to proactively troubleshoot, maintain, document and add value to our weighing department MES system. Individually and with team partners. You are no stranger to automation and engineering in a production environment. Used to properly design (FDS/SDS), implement, validate (FAT), commission (SAT) an MES application within the Good Automated Manufacturing Practice standard. In addition, you ideally bring: 3 years of experience in working with MES (Preferable AVEVA) applications A curious, problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail and ownership Knowledge of MS SQL server, .NET quickscript, SQL scripting and model driven MES Familiarity with process control systems (Siemens), SAP and networking/communication protocols Experience within an FMCG environment where project and validation methods such as FAT, SAT, and the associated documentationare important Fluency in Dutch and English ( must have ).
