Business Development Manager

to drive one of our core strategic priorities within the Renewable Gases and Carbon Dioxide Removals (CDR) space and join the extremely dynamic market we operate in, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow. ABOUT THE FRONT OFFICE Turning opportunities into solutions – that’s the specialty of STX’s Front Office. Our team works across various domains, including electricity, renewable gas, carbon offsets, biofuels, and energy efficiency. We engage with clients in different markets and countries daily, and it’s our job to understand their needs and translate them into effective, efficient solutions. To maintain STX’s position as the market leader in the fast-changing environmental commodities field, we are continuously capitalizing on new opportunities and optimizing our offering. ABOUT THE ROLE At STX it is our ambition to become the leading global environmental commodity trader and we are well on our way. We perceive building out our presence across all environmental commodity value chains of paramount strategic importance in achieving this ambition. In this role, you will head up our business development activity for Biogenic CO2 to continue shaping STX’s value proposition in this space. Initially, you would engage with the key stakeholders STX already partnered with in the last months, making sure existing deadlines are met and upcoming milestones for the project are kept under focus. Moreover, you would continue building relationships with key (commercial) stakeholders and clients, mostly in the midstream (ie. logistics/transport) segment of the industry. You would then take the lead in driving concrete opportunity identification (e.g. trade structures, investments, strategic partnerships/JVs), outlining business cases, structuring, and leading negotiations, closing the transactions and setting up our business for success; all in close collaboration with our broader front-office and policy/analysis teams, both within the Renewable Gas and Voluntary Carbon desks. This is a truly unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our global presence for one of the most promising renewable products currently being developed.
