MDEV Team Lead (TL) is the perfect job for a technical leader that wishes to combine the project team leader (pTL) role with group team leader (gTL) role in a full time TL role.
With your mechanical engineering team of 6-9 FTE you lead mechanical design activities related to Multi-Disciplinary Tooling (MDT) tooling creation.
MDT includes mechanical, electrical and software development in one tool.
Role and ResponsibilitiespTL responsibilities
- Create work breakdown and bottom-up plan. Keep plan up to date.
- Report on progress and make sure line & project management are up to date on project progress and risks.
- Manage and balance triple constraint.
- Create project plan
- Create a effective team atmosphere (internal and external contributors) with a shared project goal (making yourself not needed in daily operational progress / collaboration within the team)
- identify risks, create transparency towards your stakeholders including your own risk mitigation proposals and timely escalate risks (Project lead/Group lead) if help is required.
- Coordinate the deliverable's from the team, driving performance, availability, cost and timing and quality (reviews)
- Manage and steer co-developers, aligning them with your work breakdown and plan
gTL responsibilities
- Team organization (means, skills, administration...)
- Team improvement (collaboration, training, recruitment, vacancies...)
- Personal development of your team members (coaching, targets, PPM...)
- Engineering ownership (signing off EC's documents)
- Leading your team’s change management journey towards Agile operating model (ADM)
- Experienced in leading designers, integrators and analyst within mechanical / mechatronics domain
- Leading people in Agile change

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
