Business Development Manager Semicon/Asia

Are you ready to make an impact in an area that is set to dominate the next generation of tech hardware? Do you get excited by the prospect of positioning PhotonDelta as an industry partner, thought leader, and accelerator of collaboration in the ecosystem? And are you ready for your next professional adventure? PhotonDelta needs your talent growth skills to further advance the integrated photonic chip industry.

About PhotonDelta

PhotonDelta is a growth accelerator for the photonic chip industry. Photonic chips, also known as Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), are chips that use photons instead of electrons to sense, process, and transmit data at unparalleled speed and sensitivity. The use of photonic integrated chips allows for the creation of devices that are smaller, faster, more energy-efficient. They can contribute to solving various societal and technological challenges, such as reducing the energy consumption of data centres, safe autonomous driving, cost-effective monitoring of diseases, and more efficient food production.

Over the years, PhotonDelta has helped to establish a photonic chip industry in the Netherlands of over 60 organisations that research, design, develop, and manufacture photonic chip technology. PhotonDelta actively supports the ecosystem by stimulating collaboration between partners, providing funding, and connecting them with viable markets.

In April 2022, PhotonDelta’s proposal for the Dutch National Growth Fund was successfully awarded €1.1 billion. These funds are designated for the expansion of the ecosystem, industrialised production, and the development of application technology. Think of scaling production and research facilities, attracting and training talent, and driving the adoption of photonic chip technology.
