The role As Technical Specialist Requirements Management, you play a key supporting role in the design and creation process of highly advanced and complex naval vessels. While Engineering teams work independently on very specific subsets of the complete vessel, they all heavily rely on a single source of requirements to validate the success of the overall product. You manage and maintain the data model containing all these, up to 30 thousand, individual requirements in our requirements management tool IBM Rational DOORS. You provide each Engineering team with an up-to-date overview of the requirements and its status of completion. The Engineers also rely on your overview to keep them updated about the status of adjacent or interdependent subsets allocated to other Engineering teams. As you work from the single source of requirements and its statuses, you will also provide strategic insights and reports about the overall status of the end-to-end design process. Key accountabilities As Technical Specialist Requirements Management, you will be: Setting up, configuring, and maintaining the requirements model in DOORS using DXL. Ensuring the data model is up to date by liaising with Engineering teams and Project Managers. Creating regular and one-off dashboards, reports and queries in DOORS using DXL. Optimizing the delivery of up-to-date insights through automating queries and update processes. Skills & experience As Technical Specialist Requirements Management, you need to have: Experience (professional or internship) with requirements management/Systems engineering processes. Ability to devise creative solutions for specific and complex queries. Willingness to learn DXL, the syntax of DOORS, to automate these queries. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Software Engineering or a related discipline. Experience working as part of a collaborative Scrum/Agile team. Experience with version control software (Gitlab). Good command of the English language both verbal and written and ideally also Dutch. Excellent antecedents as a pre-employment security screening and investigation are a part of the recruitment procedure (given the military nature of our projects). Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
