Senior Strategic Communications and Events Lead, Utrecht R&I Utrecht + Hybrid, Full-time About the Job As a Senior Strategic Communications and Events Lead you will focus on developing and implementing the external communications strategy and managing high-impact events to position the Utrecht Research & Innovation Center as a leading science and technology partner. You will coordinate with external groups, managing content production, overseeing high-profile visits, and ensuring the effectiveness of communication assets. You will enrich our presence as a leading science and technology partner on a regional scale. This role is critical in attracting international talent and ensuring our science and technology expertise makes a real impact within our internal and external ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic vision, communication skills, and event management expertise to elevate our center's standing in the scientific community and beyond. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy development: lead the development of the R&I Utrecht center External Communications Strategy, aligning it with Medical, Nutritional Science, and Advanced Technology domains to enhance our visibility and impact. Representation: act as the face of R&I Utrecht center in external groups and committees, effectively showcasing our center's capabilities and achievements. Event management: coordinate the entire lifecycle of site-owned events, including town halls, receptions, and high-impact visits. This includes managing the process of event requests and approvals, as well as the coordination and welcome of visitors. Agency and Content Management: serve as the primary contact for content production agencies, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with our strategic goals. Stakeholder Engagement: coordinate with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders for site visits, acting as a crucial link and coordinator. Ensure effective communication and engagement strategies are in place to foster strong relationships. Tour Guide Program: coordinate the training and allocation of tour guides. Ensure they are well-prepared to represent our center's values and expertise during visits. Communication Assets: manage and update communication assets within the building, ensuring they are effective and reflect our latest achievements and capabilities. Post-Event Analysis: conduct post-visit and event evaluations to continuously improve our strategies and approaches for future engagements. Innovation and Regulation Compliance: initiate and coordinate projects that improve our center's attractiveness and compliance with events and visits rules and regulations. Suggest innovative ways to leverage our center for key stakeholders. Meet your future manager!

About You

About You You have experience & proven ability in developing and implementing comprehensive multi-angle communications strategies within a corporate environment. You are experienced and have a

track record in high impact (large) event management

involving multidisciplinary teams,

preferably in a scientific or technological environment . You bring

proven leadership qualities

& hands on mentality when it comes to bringing strategic campaigns to life within an organization. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

capable of effectively engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You have ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
