Electrical Design Engineer for Optical Sensors and Light Sources

You’d better contact us today Role and Responsibilities As an Electrical Design Engineer, you are defining, realizing, qualifying, managing and maintaining various electrical concepts and products for both existing and new ASML products. Furthermore you contribute on defining the next generation of these products in close cooperation with the architect. The concepts and products mainly focused on by this role are cables, racks, cabinets, passive interconnections PCBA and visualizing these into schematics. Your projects will mainly be focused on racks and modules for optical sensors and light sources applications. The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the following: Get clear design requirements by aligning with electrical architects and designers from your own project as well as from other projects that you design interfaces with Define, document and maintain designs of the electrical modules and electrical infrastructure to guarantee the design quality (safety, EMC, serviceability, manufacturability) and compliance to international standards Create and maintain electrical technical drawings/schematics of electrical modules and infrastructure (functional overviews, high level block diagrams, detailed wiring diagrams, cable overviews) Make work breakdown and effort estimation for your design tasks; Testing and qualification of the electrical modules you are responsible for; Provide technical inputs to manufacturers of electrical modules and infrastructure by getting involved with supplier quality engineers and suppliers/manufacturers Assure good quality by qualifying of first article electrical modules and infrastructure at module level before handing over to integration Transfer knowledge to production- and service-engineers. Contribute to analysis and solution of reliability issues. Further improve design quality by engaging and asking feedbacks from stakeholders on designed products Assist electrical architect by providing detailed electrical compliance information concerning the design to acquire third party compliance certificate Education and experience Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics engineering is required, with 7 or more years of work experience with the following topics: Electrical design of electrical & electronic modules. Design of cables, racks, cabinets, PCBA (passive/interconnections PCBA). Laboratory experience with testing and/or integration of electronic/electrical modules. Additionally, further experience on the topics below will be considered a plus: Design of active (digital, analog or mixed signal) PCBAs. Electro-mechanical designs with 3D CAD. Experience with compliance to international electrical standards (NFPA, SEMI). Experience with working in multidisciplinary design teams to establish agreement on specifications. Familiar with SAFe - Agile WoW Personal Skills: Initiative, pro-active. Highly motivated team player with good social- and communication skills. Structured with eye for details and with quality in mind Flexible and eager to learn. Accurate, systematic approach, analytical, problem solving. Persuasiveness and decisiveness. Quality focus. Fluent English in word and in writing Ability to work in a dynamic environment and able to deal with changing circumstances Strong pragmatic attitude with an analytical view. Able to work both independently as well as in a team in a dynamic environment. Other information The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the department Electronic Development (EL) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products.
