The role: For one of our most valued clients, we are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior HSE Project Manager to lead a major CAPEX project. The successful candidate will establish and manage a comprehensive HSE organization, ensuring the implementation of all contractual HSErequirements, and act as the primary liaison for all HSE matters. Responsibilities: Develop a full HSE organization with strategic priorities. Implement and ensure adherence to contractual HSE requirements. Serve as the main point of contact for all HSE-related issues with internal clients. Conduct daily site activity monitoring. Collaborate closely with the central HSE organization located in Brussels. Actively contribute to the Project Management Team and advise on project issues. Advise on main authority and company HSE requirements. Review and follow up on contractors’ and subcontractors' HSEprograms and documentation. Ensure HSEacceptance criteria are met and project-specific plans are maintained. Evaluate HSErequirements and performance indicators during the construction phase. Assess Environmental Impact Assessment conditions and report relevant HSEperformance indicators. Advise on planning and coordinating HSE-related authority contacts. Participate in examinations and audits. Follow up on risk and mitigation actions. Prepare weekly HSEreports and statistics. Organize and monitor safety walks for the company and contractors. Ensure compliance with all legal HSE requirements in the Netherlands. Qualifications: Minimum 15 years of experience in similar positions, with over 10 years in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas plants as a Project HSEManager during construction. Certification: HVK or Niveau 1 (PA1), or equivalent experience in the Netherlands. In-depth knowledge of Dutch HSE legislation and safety coordination. Proficiency in Dutch and English. Strong management and communication skills with clients and contractors. Excellent organizational and training abilities. Capable of leading and motivating a HSEteam. Set and maintain project budgets and schedules to meet internal and external commitments. Engage and manage engineering service providers to ensure project objectives are met. Prepare, review, and issue tender documentation. Source, procure, and engage suppliers and specialized subcontractors. Create and maintain project documentation in the different phases to meet Kitimat and Atlantic operations requirements. Engage and manage area stakeholders to ensure alignment and the best solution is selected and implemented to meet the business requirements. Qualifications University diploma in Engineering or a Technical college degree in a relevant field. Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia. An Engineer-In-Training with related experience can be considered. Project management training (PMP or master in project management) is a definitive asset. At least 15 + years of experience in construction/industrial environment. A proven track record of site management with safety, customer service, and financial responsibilities. Sound understanding of project controls and project reporting requirements. Managed 5M to 20M+ million-dollar multi-discipline projects. Experience in managing and delivering capital brownfield projects from concept to close-out. Proven commercial acumen. Knowledge of the organization’s policies and standard practices. Exposure to the Company project management framework is advantageous.

Work Schedule Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week. The position can be remote with frequent travel required to effectively manage the project.
