  • We are looking for an experienced API Developer with profound JAVA knowledge to facilitate the automated data exchange between Schiphol’s information systems internally as well as to its ecosystem. This includes passengers, airlines, customs, caterers and energy companies.
  • You’ll be part of the DnA API development team, where we deliver (REST and Streaming) APIs in a small but closely connected team. Within this agile team we provide customers and the aviation partners of Schiphol with timely and accurate data.
  • With 3,000 proud colleagues, we work toward our mission: "the world's most sustainable and high quality airports.

As API developer you disclose the world of Schiphol data. The activities you perform on a daily basis are diverse and included the creation of new APIs, upgrading existing APIs to the newest standard, problem solving and interacting with the users.How you achieve results in this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you find a solution for every problem. You put your talents to work at:

  • Developing REST APIs and Streaming APIs.
  • Reviewing code, pair programming and sharing knowledge.
  • Supporting our (internal) clients.
  • Taking part in our drive to continuously improve.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing and maintaining APIs.
  • Experienced in Java >=8 programming and worked with Java for at least five years.
  • A relevant bachelor’s and master’s degree.
  • Good knowledge of (the majority) our technology stack: Reactor, Confluent Kafka, Elasticsearch, OpenShift/ Docker, Micronau.

  • € 4401 to € 6128 gross per month (Schaal 11).
  • A 13th month (year-end bonus).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
