Within our Development & Engineering division, we are looking for a Competence Manager at the Eindhoven location to expand our team. As a Competence Manager you are part of the D&E team that push the boundaries of technology. Responsible for the Software and the Electrical and Electronics Competence teams. The Competence Manager EE&SW reports to the Operations Manager within D&E. Accelerate along with us!

Job Description: The Competence Manager within NTS is responsible to develop and maintain the competences and skills to meet the short- and long-term project needs. He is also responsible as a line manager to ensure that these business needs align with the personal needs of his employees.

The following processes/tasks need to be managed to achieve this: Skill Assessment and Identification Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Training and Development Resource Allocation Performance Management Succession Planning Collaboration and Communication Quality Assurance Competence roadmap Translate and incorporate NTS values into team values Employee Engagement Others: Assist in acquisition and projects. Maintain internal and external network. Job requirements Master’s Degree or PhD in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Electronics or similar) At-least five year experience in the role of Domain Architect, preferably in a multidisciplinary high-tech context either in Research or Industry. Interested in and up-to-date knowledge of State-of-the-Art mechatronics, product and process level technologies. Experience with (opto-)mechatronic systems is highly preferred. Experience with development of precision modules, vacuum technology and design for cleanliness is a preference. Experience with leading a group of professionals and in coaching juniors. Well-developed communication skills and sensitive to group dynamics Robust personality, able to deal with multiple deadlines and work under pressure. You know how to convey complex topics in an understandable, pleasant and convincing fashion. Determined but with an open mind to receive insights from others.
