You'll be part of the KPMG Netherlands Sustainable Supply Chain team and you will:
Provide subject matter expertise in the area of Supply Chain Due Diligence, sustainable procurement and decarbonization of supply chains
Manage projects, ranging from small to large, and simple to complex
Contribute to projects, either in a support role or as subject matter expert
Work directly with clients
Connect with KPMG colleagues that work on other sustainability themes and service areas
Connect with industry actors and stakeholders
Contribute to proposals and business development, over time advancing to play more of a leadership role
Significant knowledge of and experience (5-7 years minimum) in the field of sustainability and environmental supply chain related, sustainable sourcing and supplier engagement programs
Thorough understanding of the standards landscape such as SEDEX, SAI, RA, RSPO, SMETA, ZDHC etc, and understanding both contribution as well limitations of these schemes in context of sustainable sourcing
Familiar with recent developments like the CSRD, CSDDD, understanding of SBTi framework
Strong affinity and understanding of relevant (information) technology and tools in context of sustainable sourcing and supply chain transparency
Strong communication skills, including report writing and presenting in English
Experience managing global projects
practical experience in e.g. stakeholder consultation, qualitative interviewing, social/environmental (remote) auditing or impact assessment. Additional skills in qualitative social research skills are a bonus.
