As an Engine Development Engineer you will be part of a team which initiates and tests new Engine and Aftertreatment Concepts to meet Future Regulation.

Tasks & Responsibilities
▪ Development Engineer for new engine concepts within Concept Development
▪ Develop new engine concepts powered by Diesel, Hydrogen or Hybrid (Diesel + ePower)
▪ Expert on Diesel and Powertrain Technology (e.g. Experience with optimizing Hybrid concepts)
▪ Cooperate with simulation- and engineering teams to define new Engine Concepts
▪ Cooperate and align with other departments to optimize the powertrain
▪ Optimize and develop calibration and control strategies for future powertrains
▪ Coordination of engine test and simulation activities within Concept Development
▪ Documentation and analyses of test results, tool usage and possible improvements
▪ Collaboration in project teams
▪ Take initiative to constantly improve tools and processes
▪ As an Engine Development Engineer you will report to the Engineering Supervisor of the Concept Development Team.

Your profile
▪ Bachelor or Master degree in Automotive, Controls or Mechanical Engineering
▪ Min. 10 year experience in the field of Hybrid Powertrain Development, Thermodynamics,
▪ Combustion and/or Control Engineering
▪ Engine testing experience, preferably with Heavy Duty Truck Powertrains Systems
▪ Data acquisition
▪ Data analytics
▪ PUMA / Concerto
▪ Matlab experience (modeling and scripting)
