Management Officer


Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Dutch-speaking Event Manager with strong commercial acumen, a passion for community engagement, and a desire to develop a key event in the hospitality industry. This role allows for strategic growth and direction, delivering all commercial elements, and collaborating with the event team across various departments. Key Responsibilities: Full event management responsibility, including strategy creation and execution, P&L delivery, budget, and floor plan management. Commercial management involving key accounts, partners, stakeholders, trade associations, development of the commercial plan, and client meetings with a focus on sponsorship revenue. Day-to-day management of the event team - indirect management of centralized stakeholders. Build, develop, and grow key partnerships (both commercial and non-commercial) to drive revenue and community engagement. Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor all marketing communication activities to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and align with event marketing goals. Understand new market trends to develop new concepts and co-located programs for the event. Manage and develop dedicated projects to increase visitor attendance. Develop a strategy for a comprehensive commercial campaign to achieve revenue and commercial growth goals. Attend industry events to gain an excellent understanding of the market, meet existing and prospect customers. Oversee the digital strategy for the event. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree (HBO) Extensive work experience in larger MICE events (500+ participants) Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Event Manager or Senior Sales Manager within hospitality Experience with strategy creation, P&L management, campaign execution, stakeholder management Leadership experience with the ability to elevate a team Fluency in Dutch and English (both written and verbal) Strong commercial skills, including objection handling, sourcing new leads, and writing effective partnership and sponsorship proposals Innovative mindset, keeping up with future industry trends and market needs to maintain the event's leading position Excellent creative skills with the ability to develop imaginative event concepts Exceptional time management, ensuring adherence to event dates Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously What's in it for you? ~ Competitive remuneration package including a target-based bonus ~ Hybrid working model and flexible working hours ~24 holidays ~ NS business card for commuting ~ Pension contribution Excited to continue your journey in the hospitality industry and manage unique events?
