The Account Manager (AM) Cardiology is responsible for demand generation based on an understanding of the patient journey, and the ability to service (detailing) and connect with HCPs involved with the patient journey to meet agreed business objectives.


Furthermore the AM-Cardiology focuses on creating disease awareness, uncovering unmet (medical and diagnostical) needs, enabling Networks and partnering on promotional meetings. The AM is regionally responsible for pro-actively providing relevant disease, patient impact, product and service related information that support their commercial account strategy. The AM engages with all medical related staff, and relevant management staff to ensure early awareness of all (clinical) benefits of the patient -product and application principles in the therapeutic area. The AM has a customer and patient-oriented market approach that includes product promotion, relationship building and network management.


Main responsibilities

  • Identify Customers, incl. decision making / influencing networks for recently introduced brands and indications
  • Detailing of assigned focus products within the Specialty Care Category to the prescribers, based on patient, customer and product lifecycle needs.
  • Connect and communicate multiple insights from various stakeholders to develop an account plan of action. This insights will be shared with the Sales Lead, MAS and CBL.
  • Disseminate information using multi- and omnichannel communication in the customer target group via the customer preferred channel.
  • Ensure customer service and support by engaging with customers through both in-person and virtual interactions.
  • Ensure objectives of the accounts are met and pro-actively provide updates.
  • Respond to customer requests by connecting with cross functional team to provide responses and input.
  • Arrange meetings to support communication and education related to our focus disease areas and brands
  • Comply and adhere to legal and financial policies, relevant procedures and agreed timelines of the organisation.

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences and 5+ years of relevant (sales) experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably in sales role) or
  • Master's degree in life sciences and 3+ years of relevant (sales) experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably as Account Manager)
  • Driving license
  • Fluent in the Dutch language and good working language in English
  • Analytical and financial skills and ability to understand the effects of the external environment on the fundamental drivers of the strategic accounts and their implications on our business; knowledge of healthcare environment and specifically with regards to relevant products and accounts
  • Ability to have clear overview of Customer Journey and Patient Journey within the focus area.
  • works impacting these accounts;Ability to build and maintain account relationships and excellent insight regarding the Decision Making Unit and the overarching net
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication and listening skills leading customers into multichannel use of PfizerPro environment.
  • Result driven and strong drive for commercial results.
  • Ability to perform and prioritize effectively in stressful circumstances and request timely assistance when required.
  • Team player and Leadership without authority .
  • Ability to set-up and implement the (key) account planning according to the milestones.
