The location of the role is in: Rotterdam, Netherlands About the job In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Logistics Network Design & Value Creation and be a part of our Global Logistics Planning and Procurement team. You will be independently carrying out extensive evaluations and analyses of transport costs, shipping data, and volume flows (both raw material as well as finished goods), which serve as the holistic optimization of our global logistics network. On one hand, these analyses can be triggered in the context of internal projects or changes in the logistics network, for example by M&As or changes in any kind of product allocation. On the other hand, external influencing factors, such as geopolitical, macroeconomic, or ecological changes are also a reason to adapt the logistics network accordingly. Your task here will be to prepare any kind of data related to and/or impacting the logistics network, by doing scenario modeling, which will be the base to derive mid- to long-term strategic decisions. In addition, your tasks will include: Data preparation and analysis of logistics data Scenario modeling and forecasting based on the available dataset Analyzing logistics network simulations and center of gravity Doing

Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO)

simulations to ensure cash value generation on inventory Carrying out the center of gravity analyses to determine the optimal warehouse locations in our distribution network About you You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. What we expect from you in terms of Education, certifications, skills & knowledge A bachelor's or master’s degree in data science, engineering, or similar fields Good affinity using languages like Python, R, and Java and technologies like Hadoop, Git/SVN, JIRA, etc Certification to work with logistics network optimization tools such as Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, 4Flow Vista, Siemens Xcargo, aso is a plus Languages Any other language would be an asset Work Experience Few years of professional experience in data engineering, in particular, quantitative methods, predictive modeling, statistics, or operations research Why you should work for RHI Magnesita You will perform in a customer focused environment.
